It’s almost June already! Can you believe it? Check out my latest summer fitness and wellness tips!
Get outside! Just 10 minutes in the sun will give you all of the vitamin D your body needs for the day!
Enjoy summer fruits. Now what isn’t more refreshing than watermelon on a hot afternoon? Have some cut-up for a grab-and-go snack to cool you down. Or, check out my recipe for Fire and Ice Watermelon Salsa in The Recipe Box at www.resiliencyfitness.com! Serve it with tortilla chips,or use it as a topping for grilled chicken or fish!
Carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go so that you stay hydrated in the heat. Add blueberries, cucumbers, or fresh orange slices to give it a fresh and delicious kick!
Get those bikes out of the garage! People always say something you’ll always remember how to do is “just like riding a bike.” Well, it is! Once you start pedaling, your body just knows what to do! Go for a ride, breathe in the summer smells, and enjoy being a kid again!
Speaking of which… Go play! There are so many different baseball, softball, volleyball, swimming, golf, and on and on, leagues to join during the summer. Make new friends, have fun, relieve stress, and get a great workout! Check your city/county webpage, local park websites, or get a group of friends together and start your own team!
Fire up the grill! Grilling is one of the healthiest ways to cook your meals. You get absolutely delicious flavor with far less fat than frying or pan searing. Try using some soaked applewood chips to add an amazing smoky flavor to your food!
Chill out! Take 15 minutes and relax with a book and a tall glass of ice water outside. We all need that time to let go of stress and just escape. If you have a hammock to lay in, bonus! (I’m a little jealous, not going to lie!)
Do your online workouts outside. Yep, that’s right! We all have phones or tablets that let us access online workouts that can be done ANYWHERE. So, why not do them outside in the yard? Bring a towel or yoga mat, some water, weights, and get to it! In fact, there are great workouts on the Work It Out! page of my site! ;) I’d recommend the “Tank Top Arms” workout. I want you to feel strong and confident when you’re rocking that sundress!
Much more to come! Be ready to uncover your inner warrior this summer!
